Allergy testing identifies the specific substances your immune system reacts to — whether pollen, pet dander, foods, medications, or insect venom. At Asthma Allergy Care & Treatment, we use both skin prick testing and, when needed, blood (specific IgE) testing.
A small drop of each allergen is placed on the forearm or back, and the skin is lightly pricked through the drop. Within 15 minutes, a positive reaction appears as a small raised bump. It's quick, safe, and comfortable for most patients — including young children.
