Jovany Cartagena, MSN, FNP-BC, FNP-C

Jovany Cartagena, MSN, FNP-BC, FNP-C, is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (American Nurses Credentialing Center and American Association of Nurse Practitioners) with over 20 years of healthcare experience, now specializing in allergy, asthma, and respiratory care. He provides comprehensive, patient-centered treatment for children and adults experiencing seasonal allergies, asthma, nasal congestion, chronic cough, sinus symptoms, and other allergic conditions.

Jovany's clinical foundation is rare: nearly two decades of emergency nursing across New York City's busiest public hospitals — including more than fifteen years in the emergency department at North Central Bronx Hospital, with pediatric emergency experience at Montefiore Children's Hospital and Lincoln Medical Center. He currently practices in both the pediatric/adult emergency department at Jacobi Medical Center and in pediatric primary care. That background means rapid, accurate assessment — and complete confidence managing the urgent side of allergic disease, from asthma flares to acute reactions. He maintains advanced life-support certifications across every age group (ACLS, PALS, NALS).

Jovany is passionate about helping patients breathe better, feel better, and improve their quality of life through personalized care plans, trigger identification, patient education, and evidence-based treatment strategies. He focuses on long-term solutions that help patients control chronic respiratory and allergy-related conditions while reducing the symptoms that interfere with daily living — and is currently advancing his training as a Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate.
